Special places
My specialty - and my passion - is to craft oil paintings that capture the recollections and emotions of special moments in time, in special places.
Many of my works are commissions of children. Childhood is fleeting, and for many parents - and grandparents - those cherished memories can be fully kept alive represented in art. Forever.
To share these special places with as many people as possible I produce high quality prints on canvas or art paper.
Many clients commission a special piece for themselves, and purchase multiple prints for their extended family – they’re hard to tell the difference from the original.

I’m a graduate of the Adelaide Central School of Art and live at Sellicks Beach, South Australia – the backdrop to many of my works.
Every artist is driven by a passion that inspires their work. For me, I’m energised by capturing special moments in time within the softness, richness and depth of oil on canvas.
I work with my clients to explore the themes that are important to them. Together, we embark on a journey to source reference images of their loved ones in places that mean so much. I then create artworks that record those moments to ensure that they last for all time.
Innocence, discovery, happiness, playfulness.
My portraits truly become family heirlooms that can be treasured and handed down through generations.

I was commissioned by the Childhood Cancer Association to create a portrait of Mark Soderstrom’s children as a thank you gift for his amazing fundraising efforts.
Mark created and organised the Spirit of SA Art Auction featuring artworks by local artists Mark Lobert and Phil Hodgson, raising over $100,000 for the Association.
Our family business has been supporting the Childhood Cancer Association for over 20 years and this is a personal highlight.
A commission for
an AFL legend!
It was a great experience producing this private commission of Pippa and Gavin Wanganeen’s beautiful daughters. I hope it becomes a cherished family heirloom that can be treasured for generations.
